Goff Fire crews work to protect homes

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — Protecting homes is the top priority for crews battling the nearly-17,000-acre Goff Fire. Firefighters are attempting to prevent the fire from spreading north of Seiad Valley. A mandatory evacuation order was issued on Tuesday and several roads have been closed. Barry Point Fire 95 percent contained

LAKE COUNTY, Ore. — The Barry Point fire is now 95 percent contained and some road closures are still in effect. Fire traffic is expected to remain heavy according to South Central Oregon Interagency Fire and closures remain in the Fremont-Winema National Forest and Modoc National Forest.
