Klamath Falls, Ore.– Several elected officials are endorsing Todd Kepple in his bid for Oregon Senate District 28. Kepple is a registered Republican… but is running on the Democratic ticket after picking up the majority of the party’s votes in a write-in campaign in the primary. Lake County Commissioner Ken Kestner, and Prineville Mayor Betty Roppe are among Kepple’s most recent endorsements. Kepple has also come out against Ballot Measure 97, which would tax the gross income receipts of select Oregon businesses. Kepple is running for the seat currently held by Doug Whitsett, who announced the day after the deadline to file as a candidate that he would not run for re-election.
