Two New Wildfires in Klamath County

Klamath Falls, Ore.– Fire Crews in the Fremont-Winema National Forest have two new wildfires to deal with. Both fires broke out yesterday afternoon. The 100 acre Launch Fire is near 4-mile lake. The second is the Pumice Flat Fire in southern part of Crater Lake National Park. It was reported to be 25 acres according a press release that was issued at around early this morning. The Pumice fire is threatening spotted owl habitat, as well as portions of the Pacific Crest Trail.
