Klamath Falls, Ore.– As you start making plans for your Fourth of July celebration, you’ll want to keep in mind that you can’t set off fireworks in the street within city limits. That would be considered a public firework display and without a special permit, those are illegal. You can set them off on your driveway or other area of private property. If you get caught with illegal fireworks, it’ll cost you up to $500 per firework. And if you start a fire with your spectacle, you can be held responsible for the damages. Fireworks are also forbidden on Federal and parks lands.
