Suspect in Gold Theft Pleads Guilty


Klamath Falls, Ore.– A trial was supposed to start this morning in Siskiyou County in the case of a man charged with stealing more than 1-point-2 million dollars worth of gold from the Courthouse. But 50-year old David Dean Johnson decided to plead guilty instead. Johnson allegedly took the gold nuggets from an historical display at the courthouse in 2012.
