Gems lose on Saturday Night

Yakima, Wa – For the second night in a row a four-run first inning by the Yakima Valley Pippins would help the home team to a victory, this time 15-2 over the Klamath Falls Gems.

The positive feelings brought from a leadoff home run by Gems’ right fielder John Williams would be short lived on Saturday night, with Yakima Valley responding in the bottom half of the first inning with four of their own.

Klamath Falls starting pitcher Austin Hagy (0-1) struggled early against the Pippins. Go to for more.
