Thirty Arrests Made in Oregon Trail Card Fraud

Klamath Falls, Ore.– Klamath County Sheriff’s Deputies raided The Mi Pueble Meat Market on Main Street yesterday morning, arresting three people believed to be the ring leaders of a food stamps fraud organization. Sherrif Frank Skrah announced the bust at a press conference yesterday. 52-year old Severo Toro Castellon, 46-year old Rafael Ortega Vargas, and 33-year old Jose Morena Hernandez are accused of buying Oregon Trail Cards for fifty cents on the dollar. The group allegedly raked in as much as 20-thousand dollars per month over three years. Jackson County and federal law enforcement were also involved in the investigation.
