Energy Council Continues to Explore Utility District Option


Klamath Falls, Ore.– Some changes in the committee researching a possible public utility district  for the Klamath Basin, but the Klamath County Energy Advisory Council will continue with its mission, for now. Two members of the council, including chairman Steve Souder, wanted to dissolve the council. The majority wanted to continuing finding a way to sideline Pacific Power in supplying electricity to county residents . Souder resigned from the committee, saying it’s unlikely they’ll receive the  funding needed to continue studying the issue.
