New records set for cold temps in Klamath Basin area



KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The basin has set a record for low temps this weekend.

After the storm cleared several locations set new records like in Lakeview where the mercury dropped to -27 degrees below zero, setting a new all-time record for that location.

The previous record was -22 degrees below zero set set twice before, in 1933 and 1937. Other low temps for the area include Christams Valley -39, Chemult -21, and Klamath Falls -20.
