Authorities arrest suspect for trying to blow up the Jackson county prosecutor’s office

MEDFORD, Ore. — Authorities have arrested a  Southern Oregon man and accused him of trying to blow up the Jackson county prosecutor’s office.

46-year-old Alan Leroy McVay of Jackson County was arrested Wednesday night in White City, and held on $1 million bail for arson and building a destructive device.

McVay has a record in Jackson County for drugs, burglary and theft, and was indicted in 2012 on a burglary charge for the theft of 30 firearms and ammunition from a Medford home.
