KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Klamath Union girls soccer team beat North Valley 5-1 yesterday, helping the Pelicans to a co-Skyline Conference championship with Henley.
KU makes the postseason as the conference’s No. 2 seed, giving the Pels a home game against Banks before Saturday. The winner advances to the OSAA 16-team playoff bracket.
As the No. 1 seed, Henley is already in the tournament, as the overall No. 8 seed.
Mazama soccer also qualified for the play-in round as an at-large team and will travel to Seaside for its play-in match-up. North Valley hosts Ontario.
The Henley boys soccer team, along with Phoenix, earned play-in byes and await opponents in the 16-team OSAA bracket.
North Valley was the other team from the Skyline to qualify for the postseason, making the play-in round. KU and Mazama’s seasons are done.
