KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Klamath Falls Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration will hold an unwanted prescription drugs take back this Saturday at the KFPD headquarters on Shasta Way.
It is the groups’ seventh opportunity to collect unwanted drugs in the last three years. The take back is an effort to lessen pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs.
The service is free and anonymous. No needles or syringes will be accepted.
Last April, Americans turned in 371 tons of prescriptions drugs to 5800 sites operated by the Drug Enforcement Administrtion.
