CHILOQUIN, Ore. — An assembly at Chiloquin High School Wednesday provided students some products from Nike and the Oregon School Activities Association, as well as a peek into the careers of OSAA and local media personnel.
Chiloquin athletic director Travis Fast hosted the assembly in the high school gym as OSAA Director of Public Relations Kyle Stanfield made a presentation before supplying each student a Nike sling bag, t-shirt and shorts from the OSAA Foundation.

The students also heard from Herald and News sports editor Steve Matthies, The Sports Legend program director Ryan Goff and Stanfield about each person’s path to their career.

According to its website, the OSAA Foundation’s mission statement is ”to enhance the future of Oregon high school activities.” Stanfield says there might be more opportunities for other Oregon schools in the future to receive surplus gear.

Chiloquin football head coach Todd Pasche presented Matthies, Goff and Stanfield with a Chiloquin logo t-shirt at the end of the ceremony before each student shook hands with the group and then gathered their gear.
