Canal Bowl will provide Skyline’s No. 1 seed

Mazama hosts Klamath Union on Friday in a Canal Bowl match-up that will also determine the Skyline Conference’s No. 1 seed.

Klamath Union is off a 38-18 road win against Hidden Valley, a game that was 21-12 at halftime. KU head coach Tom Smith says second half adjustments made a big difference.

KU senior Gabe Ovgard had TD runs of 34 and 66 yards in the second half to seal the win.

Mazama fell behind early in a 35-14 loss at Henley. KU has already beaten Henley, so a win over Mazama guarantees the Pelicans the No. 1 playoff seed.

Broadcast time on Friday night is 6:40 on The Sports Legend, ESPN 960.
