SALEM, Ore. — A bill to regulate crops and seeds statewide is now on its way to Governor Kitzhaber.

If the bill is signed into law, it would prohibit counties and cities from regulating genetically modified crops on their own.

This has some farmers upset saying this is bad for their crops because the GMO pollen will be introduced to their plants.

Pro-GMO farmers want the bill because every county would be regulated the same and the regulation will be by experts in the field.
