Miss Oregon makes last minute public appearance

GRESHAM, Ore. — Miss Oregon 2013 made an last minute public appearance this week to celebrate in a parade on Friday.

Allison Cook was the Grand Marshall at a parade in Gresham, and filled in when U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer was called back to Washington, D.C., on business.

Cook’s a junior at  OIT here in Klamath Falls, is studying radiologic science.

She plans to become a MRI technician and specialize in brain trauma.

She competed in the Miss America competition earlier this month, representing Oregon as both the youngest, and tallest in the competition.
