COLUMBIA RIVER, Ore. — The state Department of Fish and Wildlife says Chinook salmon caught on the lower Columbia River no longer have to be fin-clipped to be retained.

Fishery managers decided to let anglers keep both marked and unmarked Chinook throughout a 58 mile stretch of the Columbia.

The restriction was to expire on September 30th.
