OR-7 finds home in the mountains near Klamath Falls

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon’s famous lone wolf has settled into the mountains near Klamath Falls.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says a OR-7′s GPS tracking collar says he’s been in the southern Cascades in southeastern Jackson County and southwestern Klamath County all summer.

Officials say the 3-year-old wolf has found habitat that he likes after traveling over 3,000 miles since September of 2011.
