Douglas Fire

CAVE JUNCTION, Ore – The Douglas Complex of wildfires in Southwestern Oregon is fully contained, but smoke will still be seen in the area until fall rain comes and puts out the remains of the fire. The Douglas Complex, one of several large fires this summer, was started by a lightning strike on July 26. Fire officials Tuesday night declared it 100 percent contained on Tuesday night. The wildfires burned more than 76 square miles, and over 48,000 acres
