Purina recalls dog food



Nestlé Purina PetCare Co. is recalling one of their dry dog food products because it’s contaminated with salmonella.

The company says the bacteria was discovered in a bag if its Purina ONE beyOnd Our White Meat Chicken & Whole Barley adult dog food.

The company has pulled the product, which was distributed in 3.5 lb. bags to stores nationwide.

The recall affects bags with a best-by date of October 2014, with a UPC code of 17800 12679 on the bottom of the bag.

Customers should stop using the food immediately.
