Hunters urged to use caution when hunting

Bow Hunting

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — This year the Oregon Department of Forestry is urging hunters to use extreme caution when they go out hunting this weekend.

There are no new restrictions in place but previous restrictions are still in place.

That means no power driven machinery during 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., no campfires, and no driving vehicles on unapproved roads, even if it is an off road vehicle.

Forestry officials say there are a lot of dangers in the burnt forest the typical person will not see like burned out trees, and stump holes, so be extra cautious when you’re walking around.
