LA GRANDE, Ore. — The Oregon Tech Owls men’s and women’s cross country teams are ranked fifth and seventh respectively in the Cascade Collegiate Conference pre-season poll. 

Southern Oregon is predicted to win the men’s title. College of Idaho was selected as the pre-season women’s favorite.

The CCC Championships are set for Nov. 9 at Brothers Park in Caldwell Idaho, beginning at 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time.

Volleyball Scrimmage

The Oregon Tech volleyball team opens the season on Wednesday against New Hope Christian of Eugene at 11 a.m. The final pre-season tune-up happens tonight at Danny Miles Court with a intrasquad scrimmage. The event is open to the public and starts at 6 p.m.

Head coach Jason Corwin starts his fourth season with his team predicted eighth in the conference. His team includes seniors Kayleigh Whelchel and Marie Baumann and is junior-heavy with six on the roster to open the season. The seniors and coach Corwin will appear on Monday’s Goofing Around at Lunch (Noon – 960 the Sports Legend).

The team was 11-20 last season, going 3-15 in CCC play.
