It was the team’s third season in the West Coast League, but 2013 was the first year for Mike Coleman as the voice of the Klamath Falls Gems.

Relocating for the summer from Michigan, Coleman took over in the broadcast booth for Klamath Basin voices Mike Garrard and Bobby Thompson, who had double-teamed the franchise’s first two seasons on the radio.

Like Coleman, Mitch Karraker was in his first year as a WCL head coasch and took the team to a 25-29 record.

In an appearance on Goofing Around at Lunch, Coleman rated the success of the 2013 season for the Gems and coach Karraker.
