KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Klamath County Mental Health workers were still seeing patients yesterday, but the future for those patients, and employees that work there is unclear.
The 10 remaining employees were still on duty as of Thursday afternoon, but Klamath County is in the process of turning the mental health duties over to the state of Oregon.
So, the future of the workers, and the people they help may be in question.
The county also plans to close the only long-term residential care facility in the area.
A coalition will be meeting in Klamath Falls to discuss the course of action that they will be taking to complete the transition.
