KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -The Oregon Health Authority and the Klamath County Health Department have determined that we have whooping cough outbreak here in Klamath Falls, and there have been 12 confirmed cases of the contagious bacteria reported in the county.

This has struck local kids between the ages of 2 and 15 years out of no where, and county health authorities don’t know the origin of the bacteria.

The best way to prevent getting whooping cough is to wash your hands often, and stay away from people you know that have a persistent cough until they have diagnosed and treated.
