KELOWNA, British Columbia — The Klamath Falls Gems lost the first game of the series to the Kelowna Falcons 4-3 Tuesday night at Elks Stadium.

Voice of the Gems Mike Coleman summarizes the Gems 4-3 loss to Kelowna

Two double plays by Kelowna with the bases loaded in the eighth and ninth innings prevented Klamath Falls (6-4) from coming back in the late innings. Scott Burke (0-2) absorbed the loss in his second season start while winning pitcher Nolan Savage (1-1) picked up his first victory of the year.

L.J. Brewster enjoyed his best game of the young season, going 2 for 4, with both Paul Panaccione and Dylan Rogers picking up two hits as part of ten total for the Gems.

The loss was the third straight for the Gems, while Kelowna (2-8) earned its second win of the season. The teamas meet again Wednesday night at Elks Stadium with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. (6 p.m. – 960 the Sports Legend).
