Klamath Falls buys, plans to tear down structure on Main Street to build parking lot

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Klamath Falls City Council approved the purchase of a run down building downtown.

The city will take over 200 Main St. for $60,000 with around $1,300 in closing costs. City officials plan to demolish the structure and build a parking lot in it’s place.

The City Council hopes to anchor the west end of the downtown area with the parking lot to stimulate development in the area.
