Attorney General endorses medical marijuana stores

SALEM, Ore. — The Attorney General is endorsing and urging others to vote for a bill the would legalize medical marijuana retail outlets in the state.

Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum sent a letter this month to Sen. Floyd Prozanski and Rep. Peter Buckley, D-Ashland, urging them to pass HB 3460.

The legislation would create a registry of state-licensed medical marijuana retail outlets.

The bill is scheduled to go before the Ways and Means Committee today.
