Wildlife officials on the look out for elk poacher in Douglas County



GLIDE, Ore — Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s help to find an elk poacher in Douglas County.

Early Monday morning an unknown suspect shot and left a large cow elk in the Peel area near Cavitt Creek Road and Sampson Butte approximately 15 miles southeast of Glide.

A reward of up to $500 is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association TIP Reward Program for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
