Klamath County Museum has a new curator

The Klamath County Museum has a new curator. Niles Reynolds has been named curator of collections at the Klamath County Museums system. Reynolds, who grew up in Alturas, will be responsible for preserving and organizing materials at all three public museums owned and operated by Klamath County.

The museum is having a reception and open house at thier location at 1451 Main St.from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, for the public to come out meet Mr. Reynolds.

Reynolds will also present a program that night at 7 p.m. titled “Coming Home – Ishi’s Long Journey.” The program relates his work on an exhibit on Ishi at the Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology at California State Univeristy, Chico.
