KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The struggle between the city of Klamath Falls and Pacific Power over which entity should have control of the power here in the basin may come down to eminent domain.
The city of Hermiston, Oregon ended up controlling the power there via eminent domain after a similar feasibility study to the one Klamath is doing now.
And, after the city acquired the power company, the results were positive. The city should know if they’re moving forward by August or September. If things go as planned, the city could have the plan finalized within the next two to three years.
