Jackson County Justice Transition Center crews may be working in private sector soon

PHOENIX, Ore. — Work crews from Jackson County Community Justice’s Transition Center may soon be working for private landscape and maintenance companies.

Community Justice officials say this move could offset taxpayer costs and get work done on private sector jobs that have gone to bid but had no takers.

County Commissioners will discuss a board order for the change at an upcoming public meeting, possibly as early as next Wednesday.
