Pac-12 Baseball: Ducks, Beavers sweep

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jake Rodriguez, Danny Hayes and Tyler Smith all homered Sunday, helping the sixth-ranked Oregon State baseball team to a 6-4 win over California Sunday at Goss Stadium.

Hayes’ served as the game-winner as the two-run shot sailed over the stands in right field in the fourth inning. 

The three home runs by the Beavers marked a season-high for the club and boosted the team’s total to 14, including seven in league play.

Oregon at Washington State

PULLMAN, Wash. – Mitchell Tolman scored from first base on a Scott Heineman single to center that was misplayed by Washington State in 11th inning, as No. 6 Oregon scored the go ahead run and then held on for a 4-3 win over the Cougars in Pullman on Sunday.

Heineman led Oregon going 3-for-6 at the plate, while Tolman was 2-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored. Garrett Cleavinger (6-0) picked up his second win of the series in helping the

Ducks sweep Washington State (20-23, 7-14 Pac-12) for the first time in the modern era of Oregon baseball.
