KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Water for irrigation connected to the Rogue River Basin tributary may be cut off by late June if late spring rain doesn’t help out with water levels there. The lack of rain this spring has left many basin creeks running at about a third of what they were running this time last year. Also, another issue is that newer ranches, farms and vineyards would lose irrigation rights in favor of older properties due to Oregon’s water rights laws.
