Timber equipment vandalized in the Ashland Creek watershed

log

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –A log loader used for thinning trees in the Ashland Creek watershed was covered with graffiti and its gas tank was contaminated last weekend. Crew members discovered the graffiti Monday morning and operated the loader for about an hour before it broke down, postponing work for the day. After replacing filters and removing the contaminated fuel, the equipment worked properly. The phrase “kill cops not trees,” was written on the side of the loader, which is owned by Columbia Helicopters.
