MERRILL, Ore. – Tulelake and Lost River’s track and field teams led the way with 10 event wins in Tuesday’s Lost River Raider Invitational. Hosanna Christian captured five event titles.
Lost River’s Marcos Leon won the 1,500 meters and 300-meter hurdles, while Hosanna Christian’s Ryan Lockwood took the 100-meter title and was part of the Lions’ 100 relay winning team. Tulelake’s Dylan Miller won the 200-meter race and helped his team to a 400 relay victory. Triad’s Gabe Ovgard won the high jump, javelin and 400 meters.
Tulelake’s Jara Chavolla was a multi-event girls winner in the 100 meters and long jump, while Lost River’s Emily Parks took blue ribbons in the 200 and 1,500 meters as well as the 300-meter hurdles. Her sister, Megan Parks, was the 400-meter champ and part of Lost River’s 100 relay-winning team. Tulelake won the 400 relay, which included Kylee Baley who also won the 800 meters. Prospect’s Kaylee Biando won the shot put and discus.
