Beavers win 17th straight against UP

PORTLAND, Ore. — Danny Hayes went 4-for-4 with two doubles and Dan Child threw eight strong innings as the fifth-ranked Oregon State baseball team extended its win streak against Portland to 17 with a 5-1 win at a sold out Joe Etzel Field Wednesday afternoon.

Hayes also singled in the second, doubled in the third and singled in the ninth for a career-high four hits and his 10th multi-hit effort of the 2013 season.

The Beavers get back into Pac-12 Conference play this weekend. OSU opens a three-game series at Washington Friday at 5 p.m.

The Friday opener will be on 960 the Sports Legend, with the other two on Newstalk 1150 KAGO.
