OIT Recap: Records fall in track & field

KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Oregon Tech Owls were swept and then did the sweeping in their weekend softball series. OIT defeated Northwest in games that were wrapped up Sunday – finals 9-0 and 9-3. The completion of the victories followed losses at Concordia 4-2 and 2-1. Melissa Logan went deep for a ninth time this season in the games with Concordia. 


Oregon Tech split with NCAA Div. II Central Washington, winning 6-2 in the series finale. The non-league contests were played in Ellensberg, Wash. where Central Washington won the first three of the series. OIT is back to NAIA West league play this weekend hosting the Univ. of British Columbia.

Track & Field

Keith Lester and Kassi Conditt set Oregon Tech school records at this past weekend’s Chico Twilight. Conditt surpassed her own shot put mark throwing 45-6.25. Lester moved the school long jump mark to 23-2.5
