DOS PALOS, Calif. — Authorities in Merced County have arrested the man wanted for a shooting case in Klamath Falls.
27-year-old Leland Thomas Nicholson Jr. surrendered following a brief standoff with Merced County Sheriff’s deputies Monday. Nicholson’s arrest came a day after police took his 36-year-old half-sister, Rebecca Paz, into custody, according to the Merced Sun-Star. Authorities say Nicholson had been staying at her home.
In the late morning on Monday, a police officer spotted Nicholson Jr., who ran into a nearby home and hid a in a crawl space. The homeowner called 911 and law enforcement officers arrived shortly.
Nicholson is wanted by authorities in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of 28-year-old Terry Dwight Entriken and the wounding of 36-year-old Vanessa Renee Alexander in Klamath Falls.
