Oregon Tech softball resumes play after spring break layoff

After a week off, the Oregon Tech softball team returns to Cascade Collegiate Conference play against Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho this weekend. Originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start this afternoon, the games against EOU will now start at Noon.

The Owls moved up to No. 13 in the latest NAIA Top 25 and are sixth in the nation with 41 home runs. Jess Plummer has a team-best 11 homers followed by senior Melissa Logan’s eight.

No. 8 Corban leads the conference with a 13-1 record and plays Concordia today, but had its games against Northwest scheduled for Saturday cancelled because of rain. The doubleheader will be made up later this month.

Southern Oregon hosts College of Idaho today before COI visits Klamath Falls to play OIT on Saturday at 11 a.m.
