Early morning house fire damages four rooms



KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A house fire in Klamath Falls last Friday caused $70,000 in damage to the home.

According to Klamath County Fire District No. 1, the homeowner, Kevin Homer, was awakened by a smoke detector to a fire in his bedroom early in the morning. A neighbor reported the fire to 911, which responded with three fire engines, an ambulance and a Battalion Chief. Upon arrival, the fire district says flames were coming from the front window of the double-wide modular home.

The fire was contained within 30 minutes and four rooms of the home were heavily damaged. At the time of the release, the cause of the fire was not known and there is no indication of foul play.
