Despite a Pac-12 tournament championship, the Oregon Ducks were selected to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament as a No. 12 seed in the Midwest Region. As a result, the Ducks are the only Associated Press Top 25 team that has to open with another Top 25 team in No. 5 seed Oklahoma State (Approx. 1:40 p.m. – 960 the Sports Legend Radio).

Oregon men’s basketball head coach Dana Altman

The Ducks last made the tournament in 2008, losing in the opening round to Mississippi. A year before, Oregon made an Elite Eight run, its second of the 2000s, but this is the first tournament for new head coach Dana Altman, who says his Ducks are playing positively coming into the tournament.

The winner will meet either Saint Louis or New Mexico State.
