OIT softball moves to nation’s No. 8 spot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oregon Tech softball program has moved up to No. 8 in the newest NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

After debuting at No. 9 in the preseason poll, Oregon Tech has built a 23-6 record including a 7-1 mark in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. The team plays Friday in Salem against conference-leading and 17th-ranked Corban before games in Eugene against Northwest Christian on Saturday.

Concordia (Calif.) is atop the poll followed by Cal-State San Marcos and Lee (Tenn.).

Fellow CCC teams Concordia and Southern Oregon received votes and OIT head coach Greg Stewart says the conference is as competitive as it is has ever been.
