High school spring sports debut today for Basin teams with the Henley Hornets opening baseball play at home against Ashland. Henley made the state semifinals last season, losing 5-4 at home to Hidden Valley and ending with a 14-14 record. Ashland was a 17-10 ball club a year ago including a 4-3 loss to Henley in the season opener.

Mazama finished 7-16 last year and begins the 2013 season today at Red Bluff for a doubleheader in California.

Bonanza won three in a row to open up last year. The Antlers’ 2013 schedule begins with a doubleheader at Etna in California.

Lost River hosts Lakeview in both baseball and softball.

Other softball games feature Chiloquin at Oakridge, Henley hosting Ashland and Bonanza against the Mazama JV.
