Body believed to be of missing Klamath Falls man

Lear

KENO, Ore. – A body discovered early Wednesday morning north of Keno is believed to be a missing Klamath Falls man.

According to Oregon State Police, a man walking along Clover Creek Road found the body and notified officials. Several agencies responded to the scene and tentatively identified the body as 39-year-old Robert Lear, who was reported missing on Dec. 20.

An autopsy is pending by the State Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

The body was found near where authorities discovered Lear’s car on Dec. 23. Klamath County Search and Rescue said significant snowfall, weather conditions and the time period in which Lear was missing all made locating him difficult, it was said in a release.
