Deputies arrest woman on weapons charge following standoff in Merrill

MERRILL, Ore. – Two Klamath County Sheriff’s Deputies received cuts to their arms or hands in an altercation Tuesday.

It involved Jacquelyn Love, who was arrested following the incident.

According to a sheriff’s office release, Love was accused of trespassing by parking in a lot that didn’t belong to her. There was a rifle and ammunition in the vehicle. After a car blocked Love from leaving the parking space, she locked herself in the vehicle with the firearm within reach. Deputies attempted to negotiate with Love before breaking her driver’s side window and restraining Love before opening her door and taking her into custody.

One deputy received lacerations to his right arm and another had cuts on both hands. Love was charged with criminal trespass and felon in possession of a weapon, including others.
