KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A new service is available to residents of Klamath and Lake Counties. It is called 211info, a website and phone number providing up-to-date information regarding where to find, for example, financial assistance, health care and food.
Over 6,000 programs provide information to the website – 211info.org – and through the toll-free number 211.
Interim CEO of 211info Denise Swanson said the site helps agencies and businesses work better by helping them focus on primary service functions rather than directing people to other programs.
The system has been tested in Klamath and Lake Counties, which are the 23rd and 24th counties to receive the service. All of Oregon’s counties are expected to have 211info by the end of this month.
