Man wearing flak jacket, carrying gun arrested

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A man wearing a flak jacket and possessing a handgun is in jail after officers were dispatched to a coffee hut on South Sixth Street.

30-year-old Kale Donovan Miller was arrested and lodged in Klamath County Jail Sunday evening after a report stated Miller, wearing body armor, was threatening people at the Dutch Bros near Dollar Tree. When officers arrived on the scene, he refused their orders and a fight ensued.

According to a release, Miller reached for the handgun several times, but officers were able to wrestle it away from him. The release also states Donovan made threats saying it would be his life mission to kill the officers involved and their families.

Two officers were injured, treated at the hospital and released.
