KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A thin Mazama squad didn’t help the Vikings’ cause Wednesday night in a wrestling dual with defending state runner-up Henley. Mazama forfeited nine of the 13 weight classes and the Henley Hornets won 84-0.
All the matches that did take place were won by Henley pins. Connor Noonan registered the quickest victory, pinning Davin Nichols in 1:13 at 134 pounds.
Michael Bresser pinned Danai Erickson in 2:18 at 108 pounds, while Zech Bresser won the 140-pound match over Anthony Hanseth in 3:01. It took Austin Tillery just seven seconds longer to beat Dunnea Hyde at 154 pounds.
The win follows Henley’s 47-31 defeat of Klamath Union the week before, giving the Hornets the sweep of the other Skyline Conference Klamath Falls schools.
The District wrestling tournament is Feb. 9.
