KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Hosanna Christian Academy is closed for a second straight day Wednesday after 25-30 percent of its students and six faculty were absent due to illlness.

Hosanna Christian Academy Head of School Jeff Mudrow

Head of School Jeff Mudrow says the high amount of students out of class plus having less substitute teachers than a school district, for example, prompted the closure. He added the amount of coughing in classrooms was disrupting the learning environment.

While the plan is to reopen on Thursday, Mudrow says they are prepared to cancel school for the rest of the week if needed.
